In the game, you play as this hacker named Emi Kimura. She’s hired by some shady person to break into a creepy corporation called QoTech. You’re basically running jumping sneaking and hacking your way through these crazy challenges trying to uncover this huge mystery. As Emi gets better at hacking, she can unlock new areas which gives you more places to explore. There are even mini games that throw it back to the classic Yars’ Revenge from the Atari days. As Emi gets deeper into the game the whole thing turns into this massive sci-fi mystery. She finds out about her connection to some alien race and gains all these awesome powers. There’s a crew of hacker buddies helping her out along the way and the story just keeps getting crazier.

The game has this cool anime art style with WayForward’s usual humor and retro vibes. Emi’s gotta blast through enemies sneak past security and use her crazy bio-hacks to unlock new areas. The map is huge with tons to explore from boring office buildings to hidden labs and even into space! There are also some stealth sections where you gotta hide from guards — it’s not just all running and gunning.

Plus, the environments look sick in 3D, and the characters are super interesting. And the best part? You can actually play the original Yars’ Revenge from the Atari 2600 right from the main menu, so it’s got something for both new players and OG fans.
